Postpartum Support

Allow me to honor and care for you while you heal

With this all-encompassing service I offer the guidance, love, and support that families deserve. Each person has different needs so we will discuss what you believe your family will benefit from. It is important to recognize that I do not have all the answers, but I am willing to research and offer referrals as needed. I try and educate the family so that these practices can continue after I leave.

Some of the services I offer are emotional support, physical support, basic education on infant feeding, meal preparation, light housework, infant care, sibling adjustment, and birthing parent specific care.

Light Housework: I can vacuum, start a load of laundry, fold the clothes in the dryer, wipe the counters, do the dishes, pick things up off the floor, replenish “baby stations”, take out the trash, etc.

Meals: I provide nutrient dense food so that you can heal faster and have better mood regulation. I will provide warm, soft food in the early days postpartum so that the internal organs have time to adjust. Eating throughout the day helps with lactation, stress levels, bowel movements, sleep, and mental health. I always consult with a family to discuss food allergies and meal preferences. You can either tell me what you want or I can offer a suggestion. If the visit is scheduled in advance, I come prepared with a meal.

Birthing parent specific care: I can offer a gentle massage, help with vaginal compresses, assist with lactation, set up a vaginal steam, help tie your rebozo, or watch the infant while you rest.

Visits typically last around 3-4 hours.
I charge $40/hour. Payment is due before I arrive to the home.
I serve Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Norfolk, Suffolk, Virginia Beach. Travel fee applies if more than 20 miles away from my home.
I believe postpartum support should be accessible to everyone, if packages and subsequent prices do not fit your needs, please reach out and we can try to individualize a package.
